last night I took my car to go out and when I put it in gear and started to pull out in was making an awful noise in the back like it was comming from the trunk. It sounded like alot of vibration but as soon as the car got moving it was ok. It only happens when Im just about ready to take my foot off the clutch. I dont know what it is and its kinda scary, im about 2000 miles from my garage and dont like taking it to someone to get it worked on unless I know exactly whats wrong with it. Thanks for the help.

the only thing I can think of is that its really cold outside and i havent checked the fluid in a while, in fact ever. Is this a possibility?

it sounds like a few things maybe the fluid or it could be your exhaust allignment or it might be clustch related sometimes noise transfers it its coming from a place you wouldnt guess

How can something sound like vibration? Isn't vibration something you can feel? Explain your problem a little better and maybe someone can help you out.

Does the car shutter? Can you explain what the "awful noise" sounds like?

Does it matter what gear you select?
