Default CARB Legal TB/Plenums...

Hey Im looking to add a 75mm TB / Plenum to my gt, but I
live in cali so whatever I get has to have a CARB #.
The only ones I can find are the Trick Flow Plenum and the BBK 75mm TB.
Both of those are certified, but are there any others that I dont kno about?

If not, anyone care to comment on this combo and if it would be worthwhile??

Thanks guyz

the worst thing is that its now carb legal and when you have to get smogged then you have to swap them back for stock. they are not that hard to install remove

Love the TB/Plenum combo. Definatly wakes up your car a bit. Definatly one of the best bolt on mods I think!

I'm just now running into the same problem with California exempt TB, intake plenum and cold air kit. I added a Mac upper intake plenum, Mac 75mm TB and a C&L air inlet tube and C&L 80mm MAS. I have a 2001 GT and it's finally up for smog cert in January 2007. Anyway, I installed these parts about a year ago thinking they were legal but come to find out they need to have a C.A.R.B. EO number which they do not. Do you have the EO number for the Trick Flow plenum and BBK TB? Thanks.

Sorry, ignore my question above. I just noticed you posted the links to ARB regarding the exemptions.

The tb/plenum shouldnt cause you to fail emissions at all, so I, personally, wouldnt worry about it.

MTShambles - thanks for your post. That is my understanding that aftermarket plenums, throttle bodies, cold air kits and maf's will not alter the emmissions but will they pass the visual during a smog check? I was told that any add-on engine modifications need a smog exemption or "EO" number in California.
