My car has been running fine but whenever it rains alot like today and i hit puddles the light on the dash which looks like an engine with a fan on it comes on. what can i do to fix this?

that's your low coolant light. even if it's down like a cup the light will go on. that used to happen to me too when it was colder out. just top it up and it should go away!!

why would it only happen when the car gets really wet?

it could be that you may be getting some water on the sensor or something. check your colant level to see if its low and put some in if it is. if that doesnt fix it, i would check to make sure the sensor is on tight.
