I did not install the isolators, I just used the old ones. I wanted the car to lower as much as possible and I read somewhere that the polyurethane ones will keep the car 1/4" higher. My front ones were a little wore though.

I reinstalled the stock spring isolators on my eibach springs. Its not worth, the extra 1/4" without them. I could only imagine how much noise your front and rear suspension would make over bumps. Metal and metal, isnt going to make your ride quiet.

I installed a ProKit a few months ago. I am happy with the distance they lowered the car (1 1/4 - 1 1/2") on my convertible. I reused the original rubber isolators and I believe we got everything securely back in place. I "think" that I hear some minor clunking sounds coming from the suspension that may not have been there before, but I'm sure I am paying more attention to it and "trying" to hear sounds. I am taking the car into a tire center for rotation in a few days and will ask them to check everything on the suspension to see if they "see" the noise makers.

I had also heard that NEW poly isolators wouldn't allow new springs to drop as much as I wanted, especially since the drop on convertibles isn't as much as coupes to begin with. So that is why I just reused the originals. I don't think you would want to go without any.

Good luck.

I replaced my stock units with prothane polyurethane ones. I lost about 1/4 inch of drop, maybe more. Other than that, the prothane parts have not caused any problems.

How thick are those. The stock ones are about 1/8-3/16. That would mean the poly ones are 3/8 +" thick. Hmmm
