IF I buy a used Predator on ebay will it work on my car, assuming the right model number? Does it marry itself to the vin number and then is useless to me. Does it need to be reset by the person selling it before he ships it to me? How can I tell if it is reset, by asking him when it boots up what is displayed? Any information would be a big help, thanks.

 

The person selling it has to put the car back to the original stock tune. If he does and plugs it into the car when it boots he will have the option to install the Diablo tune. If it's not reset he will only have the option to modify tune or reinstall backup.

yeah man. be careful with that. someone on this forum was complaining awhile back that he bought one and the guy didn't put his car back to factory and was useless to him.

 

the one im getting is new in the box b/c the guy sold his mach and never got around to modding it. most of the adds say that they have reset to stock tune
