humming noise
Hey, guys I have a 2001 GT and I get a humming noise from the engine at 1100 RPM to 1500 RPM. I do not get the noise when I accelerate, only when I try to keep the same speed. ( I have a stick) This started about 2 years ago but, when only when it was very cold outside 10 or less. Now it does it from Below 50. The fluid levels are fine, and it sounds like it come from the left side of the engine. That’s only a guess. Cats????? Any ideas would be appreciated and checked.

What gear are you in? You might be in the wrong gear at the wrong speed...... It sounds like you are lugging the engine, which is very bad to do.
Even in my car, 5th gear below 1500 rpms it will lug and hum like crazy.
