RE: supercharged 2003 gt
youll go through belts faster, its not gonna drastically reduce your engines life but its common sense that itll wearit out faster. gotta figure you are making the engine work harder so itll definetly wear faster. if you take care of the maintenance, get a good tune, and dont romp on it all the time itll last you a long time. personally, if youre worried about engine wear and daily driveability, id get a centrifugal blower. when you arent flooring it it drives like its n/a, power is there when you need it (when racing) but when youre going to the store or stuck in traffic you dont have to melt the tires.

I'm in the process of hopefully getting a Procharger soon. I love the idea of not having to tap my oil pan to give the charger oil. Its completely self contained so every 6k miles, pop out the plug and refill her back up lol. Also since its a centrifugal, as mustang_montana said, its only working hard when you need it to, if your putting around town it drives like a regular n/a engine.

Back on topic, mostly all S/C are good and you'll benefit greatly from them. The ATI Procharger is probably the best bet, their only like $4100 and its a Stage 2 and intercooled.

If you want reliability buy a Honda Accord or a Camry. If you want to be fast stop worrying about the cost and reliabilty and waste $10s of thousands like the rest of us. Thats basically why we're here.
