stroker or no stroker
I am going to put forged internals in my 99 gt mustang and I was wondering If I got a forged cobra crank if I would also have to get the cobra fly wheel and clutch..Also If It would be a better idea to go with the stroker or just put forged everthing and no stroke. Also some brand of names that are affordable and durable kits..THANKS
no you wont need the cobra flywheel or clutch. probe makes excellent rotatating assemblies. as far as stoking goes it depends what power your looking for. if you want 400+ hp you dont NEED a stoker (obviously) but it may help you reach your goal a little bit quicker. when considering a stroker, keep gas mileage in mind -i was going to do a stoker but my car is daily driver so i just went with the forged shortblock.
one more thing, you may consider buying a forged shortblock instead of a forged rotating assembly. a shortblock can be built in a month and simply be installed in a week while a forged rotating assembly requires that your car be out of comission for a months worth fo work.

well when I say forged internals and rotating assembly I meant pistons rings rods crank bearings things like that..that is good to hear I dont have to get rid of my new clutch though...some people say with a cobra crank I will have to change the flywheel and clutch also wonder why that is. And that is what I planned on doing is buying forged everthing in the shortblock and then re assembleing it since I have another car to drive not buying the whole block though
