Reprogram = 80hp? True or False?
The only way that would be possible was if they did an insane amount of mods, including some type of FI, and then got it tuned. then it would be possible. so it may be possible, though not likely
If you top off the headlight fluid with the premium fluid, and put in high speed muffler bearings, 80 hp would be an understatement of the power you could achieve. Haha

Hey monkey butts, give this guy a break!
He wasn't claiming it was true, he was just asking. The local performance shop got 25 or 30rwhp out of a K&N filter and a tune on a stock '05GT. Not too shabby.

Well it was supercharged, put new fuel injectors in it (60lbs each) and put headers on and reprogrammed the computer (80hp alone for the computer reprogram). BS is what I said too.
well if infact he did have all that done, there is a chance he did pick up a large amount from the tune, he may have exagerated a bit, butt who knows. I'm sure he did pick up a lot. who knows, I wouldnt call it b.s. and for everyone who said b.s. they clearly jumped the gun before knowing what was even done to the car, shame on them.
Actually, I would not call BS too quickly... the factory programs a car to run quite rich to protect it. They need to make it so the worst case production car (in terms of tolerances and such) will not detonate under heavy conditions and cause damage. Also, they need to achieve certain Federal Emissions requirements. A few minor things like changing to a K&N (or equivelanT) and programing the computer to run a little more lean will produce some significant gains... now 80? Maybe a stretch all alone, unless it came from the factory really bad.
