any ideas onto where i can find a 03-04 cobra engine for my wee little 2003 gt? any suggestions would be outstanding, im thinking of thrashing the upgrades i had in mind for everything body/interior and getting a 03-04 cobra engine with a 15-25+ psi procharger....mmmmmm.....but yeah any reccomendations on cost of that and install and would this engine just drop right in??

That would be very expensive even if you could find a cobra engine.

you can buy one used from a wrecked cobra, or brand new from ford, but the 03-04 drivetrains arent cheap. Your better offer trading in your gt for a cobra and starting there.

your best bet would be just to buy a cobra. because you would be spending money on the SVT engine...which is expensive as hell. A t-56 trans., also expensive as hell and also all the wiring which you would probably NOT be able to do yourself, so you would have to pay for the labor and then a shifter for the transmission, and a driveshaft. the list will keep on going if you want. but by the time you get done you will spend enough money to pay for the difference in the cobra eng, and you will also pay for enough to pay for you whole insurance premium. and also you would be having a GT eng sitting in a garage wasting away along with the trans.

that was a good one. Well i was thinking about putting a 8.1 Gm and leaving my Awsome GT eng in the garage.
