on the way to school when im in stop and go traffic for like 15 mins if i have my heat on high and the fan on high and its heating the windsheild and the rear defrost is on and im going really slow i hear a knocking sound every few mins? what do you think is wrong, when the heat is in the middle and fans arent on high it doesnt do it, the only reason they are on high is b/c the car has been frozen the last couple days. this only happens when im going really slow. If the car isnt frozen in the morning it doesnt happen. And when theheat is off it doesnt happen.

when i heard a knocking sound i found out i need a new motor... but that doesnt sound like thats the case with you... try to find out exactly were its coming from..

the motor was inspected after i got rear ended and everything was fine, i think its because the car goes from sitting outside all night in freezing weather to starting with the heat all the way up. its has 10k miles on it so i think everything should be fine, it only happens when its freezing and the heat is all the way up and the car hasnt warmed up

its your heat. mine does that too. i dont really know what it is but it does it when i turn my heat on. your prob dont notice it when you are crusing so tahts why you hear it when you are going slow.
