Just be on the safe side and upgrade the alternator and you will be fine.

A 200 amp alternator and you wont have a problem.

Do the 99+ have a higher output alternator? I have an 04 with Steeda UDPs and the factory MACH 460 system. I added a pair of 10s running off a decent sized MTX amp, and I haven't had any problems. I don't sit around with the engine off and blast the radio a lot though. I've watched the gauge at night with headlights on, stereo up and no problems.

The 99-04's don't seem to have too much of a problem with the bigger pulley on the alternator, but the SN95's do. Right after I got my pulley's I just said screw the system because it was draining the current so much, so I sold it and got a racing clutch. If you have a small system you should be okay but if your running big boomy systems I say put it in a different car because Mustangs are supposed to have loud exhaust, not loud systems...

amen to that. I have a crack-head neighbor who has a late 90s grand prix with so many subs my walls shake when he comes. Rediculous waste of money.

With the money you could spend on a system you could make your stang pretty quicker than stock. Also, when you go to the strip or race, don't you want LESS weight in the car? A sub box, subs, amp etc all add weight!

well that's cool. There are some cases where it's legit. For me being on a budget and trying to get my car screamin smoother (trans a lil iffy and burns a bit of oil) I don't want a system now. But my brother-in-law may be GIVIN me a pair of 10s
