i own 98 auto stang....yesturday i pushed to 118mph still pullin' (slowly) but then i ran outta road....wat do u guyz u think it can go up for ?...and wat kind of problems might occur? ofcourse other than losin' control cuz of excessive speedin'

We've said it time and time again, but apparently nobody reads the posts.

My contribution was that my buddy ran his up to 148 on a completely stock 96 GT, although it took him AGES to get there. Governed? Maybe at 150, but 148 was possible.

the factory lists the 96-98 GT governer at 136 mph for 16 inch wheel cars. cars equipped with 17 inch wheels were ungoverend if i remember correctly.

i had a 96 i hit 151 going downhill on i-90
i have a 98 now that only hits 120 and shuts down, anyway u need a chip or programer to remove the speed limiter...
