98 gt speed limiter?
Does the factory speed limiter stop at 113 mph? I have 4.10 gears and a 5 speed and on the highway my car started making this weird sound and stopped accelerating at about 121 mph..so its close to 113 with stock gears..does that make sense?

stock my 98 gt didnt shut down until around 127 if i remember correctly. however with 4.10 you should be running out of top end quicker than with the stock gear ratio

nope..im still trying to figure out how..i guess the tuners wont calibrate a 98 gt..and speed gears would have to be replaced in the tranny so i've heard..I think im going to go with a dallas mustang speedcal

Yea, speedcal would be your best bet. And I used to have a 98 gt and I got it up to 125 once. I think that they put the speed limiter set at the top speed rating of the factory tires. For instance, if the car comes stock with V rated tires, the governor will usually be set to 130, or whatever the tires are good up to. I believe that the 98's came with Z rated tires, so the governor is probably set at 150, though I doubt it can go that fast.
