Default open headers...can it be d

This is a question for my brother... he has a 96 4.6 gt and we are wanting to run straight headers or at least take off the cats. We took a trip to a local muffler shop and they told us that you cant take off the cats b/c of the O2 sensors. I'm wondering if thats true?... and if it is, can you still run open headers or will that mess up anything too. Any help is much appreciated.</P>

you can run open headers you need to put bungs on them..I i'm sure your going to do this only at the strip...what some guys are doing is make a lil 6 inch pipe coming from the headers and put the bungs on them this also help a lil on the low end.
