<DIV id=intelliTxt>Hi guys. I am new to this site because I just purchased a 2001 <NOBR>mustang</NOBR> GT with 30,000 miles on it. This is a great site lots of great info. Anyway, I live in Maryland where it is currently cold so I didn't think much when I test drove the car and the temp gauge didn't move much. However, I drove it all weekend and love it but as I said the gauge hardly moved. There have been some mods to the car i.e. K&amp;N air filter, flowmasters etc but nothing major. My feeling is that the previous owner put in a 160 degree thermostat. The heat in the car works but is not super hot like it should be but is warm. I would appreciate your input and soggestions. If it is the stat should I replace it with a stock stat or go with the 180 degree thermostat. Thanks for your help.</DIV></TD></TR>

Default Temp Help

if it was me a 180 would be in there and you want a mr gasket one as it has a lil bigger affice and a small hole drill in it.the 160 is just to cold and the car would likely stay in closed loop... you could get a chip to have the fan come on sooner put would wait til you got a set of gears
