Default RE: SLP Headers

Someone on other forums told me they are very infierior to SLP because the SLP LT's are not only coated, but stainless steel as well. Therefore over time when BBK rusts, SLP won't, etc. People on other forums said they have trouble with BBK.. I know people here love them... and I would go with them, but I hate their X-pipe and the SLP X won't fit the BBK LT's.

Im in a big dilemma, I want to see if the freakin SLP LT's will fit my car and just get it over with. No compatibility issues.

Anyone know what I have to do to the k-member to get the SLP LT's to fit my Vert? What modifications need to be done? PLEASE.

You just have to make sure you tigten them good and retighten about a month after you isntall em.

BTW, why would there be issues with BBK LTs and a SLP midpipe?? So long as they are shorties shouldn't they fit???

I would not pay 700 bucks for SLP headers when you can get ceramic BBKs for like what, 550?

no they will not fit, you'll have to make some modifications to the midpipe in order for it to fit. This is the only longtube header and midpipe company where this is needed. They are made for eachother, any other brand beside SLP you can missmatch the two...

Yea hes right, it sucks. The BBK Headers will not reach the SLP X... there will be a length difference due to the different designs between the SLP LT's and the BBK LT's. Plus BBK LT's use a flanged end, wheres the SLP units all use clamps..

It SUCKS.

Don't get a SLP x then. The SLP X isn't any better than a DR gas or other high cost X.

Exactly. **** SLP up the ******* - Excuse me. Im pretty sure Im going with the BBK Setup + the LM1's.
For what I want to do, the money isn't worth it. I have a Vert, so down the road my car will be show... I don't need to spend the money for SLP when I can get the sound I want from BBK. I want a full exhaust on my "show" car =) ... But I don't think going ALL OUT will serve my purpose. Save the money for the "show" part =)

There ya go... Put an end to this.. Hopefully =)
