Surging problem in fifth gear

Surging problem in fifth gear
I've got this odd surging problem while cruising (slowing down) in fifth gear under 2500 rpm in my 96' GT. it almost feels like the engine is trying to stall like the rpm are too low...but it's 2500 friggin rpm. the only mod i have done to the car are 4:10 gears. it only does it in fifth gear...wtf?
EDIT- I should also say that it's having a stalling problem when coming to a stop or cruising...and yes, i've already changed my IAC. could adjusting the throttle fix both problems here?

with a bad MAF it wouldn't accelerate as hard as it does. the TPS i'm not sure about. i would assume the IAC to be good. i haven't fixed the calibration deal yet, so the ecu hasn't been touched. it's throwing an o2 sensor code, egr code (because i removed it), and some other emissions code due to the fact that the egr isn't there...i forget what it is. anywho, i'll adjust the throttle tomorrow and see if i can get it goin.
