whats a diff thermostate for (ie. 180 degree). what does it do and why is it helpfull and how hard are they to install

The 180 thermo just allows it to open at a lower engine temp and keep your engine cooler. 180 is probably as low as you want to go. Go much lower and it will never close. Very simple install. Drain fluid, remove upper radiator hose, unbolt the water outlet housing, remove gasket and material, reinstall with pressure release at 12 o'clock if you have one, and put it back together. Less than an hour for a beginner.

it took me literally 2 minutes.

oh and i run the SLP 160* thermostat on my car
