Default short throw

Ok i was out on 309 and i raced a buddy of mine in his sentra spec v. We stopped and counted to three i launched too high around 4 grand and kept spinning I went to shift into second and it was like the toys you play with when you are a child. The bench with the different shape cut outs on it and you had to put the right block into it you know? Well it was like trying to put a square into a triangle block. all you heard was vroom crunch I mean it was cold as hell out but does anyone else hate the throw to second and third and does a short throw do alot better like the mgw short throw?
