Default $$ to expect for dyno tune

I called a couple shops in my area and they all said it would be right around $600 for a chip and the dyno time. Is this what I should expect to pay for a good tune?

Also, I was wondering at what point, in terms of adding mods, after your first tune you would need to go back in and get another tune. For example, if I installed a Vortech mongoose kit on my car and got it dyno tuned, then a month or two down the road I added a PI intake manifold and maybe a larger TB/plenum, would I need to get another tune? I know another tune would maximize power in this situation, but would it be safe to add these things and not get another tune? Sorry, this may be a stupid question, but I'm totally new to boost and dyno tuning.

Probably a touch up tune would be needed, don't cost much

Once u get the chip and tune then goback it would just cost for the time on the dyno.Thats how they do it here. Here its 3 or 4 pulls for like $75-100 and some places charge by the hour

That sounds about right. I had a shop quote me $575 for an SCT Xcal II tuner and dyno tune.
