Default New Dyno #'s

I finally got the car running again after I blew it up. I went with stock crank and rods, Ross Racing forged pistons 10cc dish, Comp cams XE274H and BBK shorties. Before I had 251/289 at the wheels. Recent dyno had 289 rwhp and 301 rwtq. I was happy with it and the grand total for the rebuild was $3107. I have not sprayed it yet though I am still a little afraid to after I blew it up. Just don't have the money to do it all again right now.

why no rod upgrade? Woulda been good to say 500 WHP or so at that point.

Sounds good anyway, 289/301 is pretty good for a cam only car.

I didn't have any more money. I was working on a tight budget.

Nice numbers. If you were ever gonna spray the car, you should have done it while you were on the dyno. You'd be fine with a nice 100 shot.

That is impressive......must have been a great tune too.
You went with shorties because of your H&R's?

Yes I was afraid longtubes would not fit under there. I will get it dynoed again before I spray it. I just wanted to get some miles on the new motor before I spray. It lopes really good too. I love the sound.

Those are good numbers!

And +1 for spraying while on the dyno. That way you would've had satisfaction knowing your A/F ratio is good with the nitrous.

shoulda saved a few more bucks then. the pistons are the weakest link under the hood. it's going to be more expensive and time consuming to rip the motor back apart again if you get overzealous and pump too much spray through it.

I put forged pistons in. Maybe you mean rods? I had to take out a loan to pay for the rebuild and all I could get was $3000. I have a video of the dyno runs I will get one of just the idle when I get home from work.
