For the Terminators...

#1 a terminator vert is heavier than a gto.so weight is not a huge issue. #2 as far as a all around better car goes gto wins hands down better handling, better interior, just all around better built hence weight of the car. #3 If its bang for the buck power you want defintly get the cobra. #4 When my gto was stock it beat a 04 cobra twice and lost zero times (cobra had intake) so I woudln't say stock for stock the cobra wins EVERYTIME I would say the majority of the time. A whippled or kenne bell cobrais just crazy, but have you ever seen what happens to a ls engine when you hit it with some nitrous?? And as far as price goes look at this way you might be able to find a slightly abused 03/04 cobra with 30k miles for 23-24k or you could still get a brandnew 06 for around 28k. It all depends what your looking for if you want killer power for cheap(er) no doubt get the cobra there is NO better car to get for the reason. If you want something that is comfortable, has an auto option ( if you want to put a stall on it), makes good power a bit more expensive to mod but can defintly match the power the cobra puts out, and you really hate when you see the same car as you have every 30mins then get the GTO.

My cousin has a 04 GTO with full exhaust, and acai, and I beat him at our 1/8 mile track in my g/f's 94 GT with 4.10 gear, pulleys and cai.

gto's problem isnt that its heavy or mod-unfriendly. i know a guy who picked up 90 whp from cam work alone. the problem is in their suspension, yes they ride nice and smooth.. try a 4000+ rpm drop in them and they spin worse than a GT with 4.30's i would definetly prefer their 400hp engine over my 4.6 2V, but i wouldnt swap GT styling for the watered down-under (pun intended) GTO looks.

Im sure your cousin just cant drive then. GTOs pack a punch... I was with my buddy in his 01 Camaro SS with full exhaust and we raced an 04 GTO with full exhaust and tied every single time.

I dont know what makes you say that. Maybe they tied because your buddy cant drive his SS. Well I guess there isnt a guy in the world who can drive a GTO, becausearound here GTO's run 9.20's-9.30's in the 1/8 and the best I have seenwas in9.1x's.One of my buddies said he saw amanual GTOrunHigh8.90's, but I didnt see it. My g/f's 94 ran a best of 9.19, and I believe I ran somewherein the 9.20's when I beat my cousin. Dont get me wrong they will leave my g/f's 94 GT in the 1/4, but the 1/8 was a different story. And as for you beating an 04 Cobra in a GTO, you forgot to tell us about the GTO having a s/c and a ton of spray, because there is no way a stock GTO could beata stock 03-04 Cobra, and if you did Congrats, but who ever was driving the Cobra REALLY needs to learn how to drive.

"the Cobra pounded out a best of 12.93 at 114.50 mph!"(hotrod)
vs. the gto's 13.3 at 108

the gtos might ride better; might look better
, but its not faster, period. cobra has more power(underrated) and weights less and LOVE modds. Give cr where cr is do; and the cobra a very very fast car...
