Default tires?

Anybody have any recomendations for the 245/45/17 stock rims on my stang... I am gettin ready to purchase third set of tires and i want to find some rubber that will actually last more then 30K if possible with decent traction for all season..

What do you guys think? Thanks...

its going to be hard to combine "decent traction" with a tire that lasts 30K+.

nittos is gonna give you the best traction/tread life, and those are maybe half of what you want life-wise.

You might want to look at the Kumho Ecsta ASX's if you want all-season tires. I just purchased Nexen N3000's to replace my Kumho MX's for $350 shipped. Although they aren't all-season tires the traction is pretty good plus the Nexens have a 340 tread life rating.

I bought a cooper tire from Discount Tire and they have been pretty good. I have not had major spin issues and the price was reasonable.

If your only getting 10-15K out of them, might as well go with something like a nitto drag raidal. its going to outhook anything in a regular street tire style, and you still get 10-15K.

Hell, just get some NT555s for the front, and the d/rs for the back, and just plan on changing the rears once between front changes. that is to say, my fronts lasted a LONG time and never did really wear down, they are on another guys car now (sold em) and still going strong with probably 15-18K on em.
