Default Need some info on 99 GT

Hi guys

First post for me here on mustangforums. I am not a Mustang owner yet, but I am working on becoming one.

I am on the lookout for a 99 GT convertible 5 speed. I dont need offers but I need some info on what to be on the lookout for. I amimporting tothe car to Denmark soI need to be a little careful in what I buy.

Any special maintance that I need to check for?. Like expensiveparts that need to be replaced periodically.
Anything that I should be aware of for that model?

Thanks in advance

The only bad thing about a T-45 is if you don't know how to shift them. My 99 has 98,000 miles on it,10,000 of which are supercharged miles, and it still shifts great. To prolong the life of my tranny I use synthetic fluid and I installed a Steeda short throw shifter. The short throws have stops on them to keep from overshifting which keeps you from screwing up your shift forks.
I've run as quick as 12.88 in the 1/4 mile with this so called weak tranny. I wouldn't take advice from someone with an automatic.

That's a style bar, not really a roll bar. It's just for looks and doesn't really protect you in a roll over. It's an aftermarket piece with an integrated third brake light. It's probably easier to take off than it is to install, because you have to drill to install.
