damn. thats a tough one. i guess it depends on what your buying it for? daily driver = GT. good time = cobra. (though i am not saying you wont have a good time in the GT, just not as good as the cobra).

id go for the GT......bottom line i cant stand the older style body's and an 04 GT is the ****.....even though the cobra is harder to find and has about40 more hp, the 04 is what gets the ladies haha

just look at it this way, you buy the cobra its gonna save you more time and money in the long run, it responds waaay better to bolt ons because it s a 4v, you wont have to spend as much money ever to get a gt where the cobra is with the same mods. its an all around better car IMO. yay its a little older but WOW its a cobra. lol
