hey i got a question... i have a 2002 mustang gt and i went to the dragstrip this weekend and the best time i got was 15.0... i know that is horrible and i thought it was just maybe cause i just got the car and im a ****ty driver stillso i let my friend drive it and he has had a bullitt for a year and gets it in the 13.60's with like 2 bolt ons... and he could only get it to run 15.0... what do yall think i should do... im prob. going to get plugs and wires this week and give it a tune up and clean the fuel injectors... anyone else has any tips... thanks...

 

are you an auto or a manual? what is exactly done to it? it should definately be running faster than that.

 

5spd.... just got it about 4 weeks ago already had 3rd and 4th sncros replaced cause they went out the 2nd day i had it... a ****ty but new ac delco clutch..quiet magnaflow mufflers front and rear sway bars... strut tower bars... and sub frame connectors... with ****ty kumho asx's on the rear... and k&n filter... but everything else is bone stock with 73800 miles on it... i know im not the best driver out there but i know im not half a second that bad... and here is my time slip info...

oh **** yeah i spun like no other... i have kumho asx they suck...i live in houston, tx and i work at discount tire so i mean im going to get better tires but im payin off that transmission job right now... but do you think that the tires made it that much of a diff. cause i dropped the preassure down to like 15psi and didnt really spin as much as the first time and i ran worse... i got like a 15.1 and 15.3 i was emberressed to even try to run it down the track again... my friend with the bullitt told me that when he drove it at the top end it seemed like it had nothin left... iunno

 

oh and no my clutch is not slipping... its brand new with like 250 miles on it...

 

damn u live in h-town and u got a 15...... i would take that **** into a shop and have it looked at lol. but ur 60 time killllled u though get some control arms your trap speed seems kinda low also

 

A 2.449 60' is terrible, your loosing an easy .8 seconds right there. From your trap, its either spinning so badly your loosing MPH, or you are shifting slowly. Get the 60' down to the 2.0 range and you should be in the 14.0/14.2 range with ease.

Also, some of your suspnesion probably isn't helping. The strut tower bar etc is more for circuit track racing, its not helping with weight transfer.
