vt engines.com

Any cam has potential for ptv issues if not degreed properly. Comp XE-270AH will work with the stock heads 1800-5800 rpm and you'll need new springs. 278s would not work. Not sure how much lope the 270s will give you.

vtengines is a very respectable company. Worth looking into.

check out VT cams
+1 on vt cams.Check out there stage 2 cams.Very lopy and works with your stock motor
Stage 2's will run kinda crappy even with a tune without head work.. i suggest at least a Port job
You don't need head work for a stage 2 cam, I made 280 WHP with cams + boltons (stage 2 cams) and a ****astic tune, should have made 285+

The only bad thing about a 2 is that it make slightly more peak (even on stock shortblock/heads) but doesn't pick up as early as a stage 1.

Did you put those on your stock motor or was other things needed to have them? Also how much was the installation for both?, or did you do it yourself?

Yea i put them on my stock motor and u dont really need anything else. The person that did mine went ahead and got new head bolts plus gaskets and liftersbut thats about all.I think with everything including the oil, spark plugs and labor was around $7xx but i think that pretty cheap though.Dont know if u can find someone that cheapin your area.

Cool, thanks for the info. Sounds like something I might go broke for.
