probably at LEAST 5k. you pull the motor and paint the engine bay as well if you want it to look worth a damn.

A lot of it is what you want and how nice you want it to look. I work at a hot rod shop and we charge 30,000 for a paint job. I went to WyoTech and learned all about paint and bodywork, and trust the theory of you get what you pay for. I would say atlerst 3-4K for you to be happy with it. Any cheaper and your going to notice things that were done to save time and money, i.e. engine compartment, trunk/door jambs, and any other hard to prep areas may be overlooked....just my $.02...

Damn... My car's paint is so messed up, I'm debating taking it to Macco [&o]... The car was from Florida and it's so sun beat. The door jams and under the spoiler are the only parts that are still red. The rest of the car looks like a weird salmon color. [:'(]

Yeah, red fades like no other. I almost hate taking my car out of the garage. I can hear it fadeing.lol! If you change the color on that Mach its gonna be a pain in but you gotta do the engine bay, door jams, trunk ect. By time you do that it won't be a good deal anymore nomatter how cheap it is.My advice is to deal with the white or find another car. I used to work at a bodyshop, we would have charged you at least 3gs just for the paint job and fixing whatever chips and crap is on the old paint. You cant paint over that stuff it will show. We probably would not have even taken a color change job like that and if we did it would have cost so muchyou would be better off getting one that is allready the color you want.
