Default My mustang troubles

I have awhining in my 96gt after replaceingthe fluidin the rear end is this a sign that it time for some new gears.

Changing the fluid should not give you whine unless you did put enough in it and then something happened to the gears.

stupid question, but you DID add the locker additive right? ...although that wouldn't cause a whining noise, more of a clicking if I remember correctly...

I beileve the thread has been moved from 2005+.

If its making strange noises, espically when you go around a corner etc, I would get it looked at. Also, most of todays syn fluids already have the additive in the oil.

1. if you subscribe to a thread it's easy not to notice that it got moved...I've gotten caught in that one...bellyaching for a race thread to be moved to street/strip when it had been moved there already (oops)

2. most people add the locker additive anyway because the fluid by itself will still cause noise even if it claims to have the additive in it.
