Default smaller tires??

hey i have 17x9 and 17x10.5 wheels right now with sumitomo HTR Z 275/40 and 315/35 tires right now....im gonna need new tires soon so i was thinkin what would 245's and 275's look like on the big wheels? horrible? the reason i ask is because i could get soemthing for about the same price as the sumitomos and they would have a better rating liek the HTR+, or should i jsut stick with what i got now(rebuy same tires)

thanks
Pat

I don't think 275's will fit on a 10.5 wheel!

they will def. look stretched...the sizes you have now fit flush, anything smaller will look goofy - no matter he much smaller it will still make you wish you bought the right size
