1996 4.6 intake
Just informed I have a cracked intake manifold. Given that, whick is the best replacement for the GT? Are there directions that come with it. I am mechanically inclined but has been years since I did comething like this.
If you cracked your old intake manifold, you can upgrade to a PI intake manifold. It'll cost between $100-$150. If you use that you're going to need adapter plates on your heads. I think Livernois makes a whole PI kit for $500. You can always use some silicone instead of the adapter plates. It's much cheaper and I hear it's pretty easy. Of course you can buy a NPI FRPP intake manifold. I think those are about $550-$600.
yeah i agree, you should try to upgrade to the PI manifold, like the guy above stated, you'll need the adapter plates or use silicon around the ports. You'll pick up a good 10hp if you upgrade to the PI intake, b/c of the improved flow. If you don't have the means to do the work yourself, i'm sure any performance shop, or maybe even regular shop around you could do it for ya at a reasonable price.
