Default Header problem

i just got some long tube headers and a high flow X-pipe installed and for some reason after the installation my car tends to turn off now on it's own when my RPM's are low I notice. Does anyone know why this is happening? Anyones help would be greatly appreciated.

on your intake tube, check down buy the plastic peice that is between your airfilter and the tube,it has a connector running into the side of it, thats your MAF, make sure there are no gaps and everything lines up nice, as for your vac lines, any of the lines that run into your trottlebody make sure nothing is disconnected or has a cut or frey in it

I found out that my dumb @$$ mechanic snapped off a hole in my MAF to the point where the screen is showing on the inside. Apparently when this idiot lifted my engine he wasn't paying attention and broke it. He also left a tool in my engine which I just discovered only minutes ago. Talk about superior service. I'd take the opinion of any person who knows how to work the system and raise hell at the same time so I can send these guys to the $#@! heap where they belong.

Thank you everyone for being so informative and helpful.

Tools left in engine bays are quite common, most mechanics love there tools, he'd be very glad to have it back.
I'd go to the shop and demand a new MAF.
