when i got my nitrous put on the guy said i should get new cats soon....i have sprayed it about 4 times now and the exhaust is starting to sound kind of weird...i have shorty headers and a slp catted x pipe and was wondering if i should get new cats or if there is a piece i could buy to eliminate the cats and if i did get rid of them, would i need a tune?

 

I havereally never heard of anyone replacing cats but I know you can on a SLP midpipe. Really wasn't aware that nitrous would mess with your exhaust. I hope someone has an answer to this, im interested.

 

i think your mind is imagining the exhaust change, due to the guy telling you about your cats. iv nevver heard of needing new cats from nitrous

 

maybe its getting louder cuz your cats are hollowing out, not 100% sure on this but I remember reading some where that the cats pretty much stop working like they are suppose to after about 6months or so

 

Get an O/R pipe and call it a day. No cats to worry about then.

 

yea im kind of likin the sound of a off road x...think i could sell my slp x for enough to buy a o/r one?
