before you read this, im not talking about just cutting open the hoodscoop to just pull in air to the motor.i was looking at shaker hood scoops and i got to thinkin, all it is is a plastic hoodscoop that gts already have. SOOO why couldnt you just basicly get some duct like the mach has and put it to your airbox. Or get a flat fram filter and fab up a true ram air intake that goes directly into the tb.. just curious i know somebody has thought about it.

 

Somebody has done it on this forum...Cant remember who....I doubt you will gain any power from it though

 

the shaker hoods dont do anything anyways. half the time when you look at modded machs they have it dissconected and run a CAI

 

Hmmmm....homemade RAI...interesting.

If somebody already did this, I want to find out who, how much, and if they felt a difference.

You could do it. It probably wouldn't cost much over $20-30 bucks. But it's kind of a waste of time. It's basically a JLT RAI mounted on the hoodscoop.

 

i know it woulndt give me really n e thing performance wise, BUT it would be super cheap to do.
anybody know of plans to do it?
