Default Key fob

Sorry, I tried searching, but it didn't find any results.

Well, I used to have a 2004 V6. Then I got my 2002 GT. Thing is, I never got a key fob for the GT. But I also forgot to give the dealer where I traded in the GT the key fob for my V6. I heard there's a way to match the key fob to the car with one of those ignition tricks or something. Does anyone know what it is? I don't have an owners manual for the car, and couldn't find it anywhere on the forums. I'm really sick of using my key to manually lock and unlock the car, and I don't like going to the Ford dealer if I don't have to.

Anyone else know? I never have time to go to a dealer when they're open. I work at a GM dealer and we have the same hours, so when I get out the Ford one is closed.

i did mine by turning the ignition on and off i believe about 7 or 8 times, then you will see the locks go up or down. then hit your locks on your remote. it worked for me.

Cool, thanks guys. It worked. No more looking like a base model Honda when getting into my car. And I can open doors for the ladies now without having to unlock the drivers side first.
