Ok I’ve found a mustang for sale (around an 02 or 03 model) for 7,000 bucks. The car is an auto with a little over 100k miles, almost all bolt ons (if not all), Terminator front end, aftermarket wheels. The car is beautiful, but it has been sprayed and raced…I think it ran high 11’s on the bottle. What I need to know is, would this car be a dependable daily driver? I’ve never owned a ford but from what I’ve seen, ford auto tranny’s don’t hold up. Not saying they never do but I know a lot of people with problems. As far as the engines go I’ve seen them last a while. So with all that said, will it last?

 

I had an 98 v6 auto for 10 years and 119,000 miles and never had a problem out of it (until I totaled it this past summer). I didn't have any modifications at all though and never tried to race.

 

Dependable? No way! I practically babied my stang. But i think i got a lemon. At 140k the motor went! I've had to redo the rear end, brakes, and motor. Plus i have a huge nickel and dime list of little things. . . but lol hey thats all part of the joys of mustang ownership!

 

I NEVER had a problem with my first mustang.

 

But then again i never had any problems till about 110k miles. Then its like it started at once after that. . . wait i take that back at 65k my alternator went out![&:]
