Default Intake help

I'm going to be purchasing an intake for my mustang soon. Should I go with the JLT RAI or save a bit of money and just go with the K&N filter with removed silencer? Thanks for your help.

do you want it to look good or function? If looks are involved go with the JLT, if you just want funtion, they are both comparable

More for function as of right now, but when i do get the ram air, i can put the K&N filter onto that correct? I also just want a little more air going through the engine before i slap an exhaust on there.

I just puta JLT RAI on my car yesterday. I had a drop-in K&N and modified stock airbox before. There wasn't much difference honestly. I would suggest you get whichever one you find cheaper.

Save your money, unless you want the look.

I didn't notice anything when I added a JLT RAI. Looks good though.

Well I think I'm going to get the drop in filter for now. More worried about saving some cash for chin spoiler and SLP 2's
