4.10 gears question

Default 4.10 gears question

(41 tooth ring & 11 tooth pinion), does that equal 4.10 so how many teeth are on 373. At the shop where im getting them i know i counted a little more then 40 teeth i just dont wanna be jipped. Thanks.

41/11 is 3.73....

My 4.10's, which unfortunately are still in the box, are 41 on the ring and 10 on the pinion. They could be other combinations if you have a larger pinion. Just divide the teeth on the ring by the teeth on the pinion. So in my case 41 (ring) divided by 10 (pinion) = 4.10. [/align]

They are 4.10s after all and thanx for the help i just dont trust mechanics it said 3.73 he said they just put them in the wrong box. So now i know.

Just FYI, the Motive 3.90s are 43/11. 3.909 is what it works out to. This is why some companies call them 3.91s.
