Default Alternate jackstand points

So I got this low profile jack from sears that isn't helping me at all. I gotta get the front of my car on some jack stands and I can't really get the whole thing high enough at one time in order to get both stands under there at once. Do you guys think it would be safe to put a jackstand in the knuckle portions of where the A-Arms bolt up to the k-member? Its got a sort of concaved area in there with both of the huge bolts that mount the a-arms up. I rested one side down on a jackstand there to see but I don't really want to put both sides down on them yet and find out the result.

What about jacking up on the flange area and putting jackstands on the frame rail up front maybe on a piece of 2x4??? I have to do that. Getting jack and jack stand under at the same time was difficult. I have tried jacking under a few other spotsand i could see it bending!

See, last time I did all this I was able to get jackstands under the frame rails, but this little thing isn't so helpful. It started to roll back once and scared the **** out of me. I can't even get it high enough to get a stand under the skid plate. I'm really in a spot where I need the front up, with the springs relaxed, and where I can turn the wheel, but I don't want to be leaving the car on the jack the whole time and possibly sagging down

Yeah got the back tires scotched and stuff. Hell I may just ago ahead and put the jack back under the skid plate and raise it up. Keep a good eye on it and everything should be alright. I got a couple 4x4 timbers I could probably put under the frame rails just in case the jack did fall some.

It's a bitch to jack up the our cars and put jackstands under them. The only think that I tried is the low profile jack and that was still a bitch.

Got it done.
Just jacked the front up, took the wheels off, put the jackstands under the a-arms, and then used the frame rails to lift each side to get the body up and strut out.
