Do you even know how to powershift? You use the clutch in powershifting. Except instead of letting off the gas and pressing the clutch in, you just push the clutch in really fast and shift while your foot is still on the throttle. It's to prevent the RPM's from dropping out of the powerband. It's not that bad for the tranny if you do it sparingly. Powershifting down the street on your way to McDonalds or something is stupid, but if you're at the track every now and then it's not going to damage anything if you do it right.

I always rev match unless I'm racing. I mean obviouslyyou can't really whenyou're at WOT because the rpms dont drop fast enough but a little abuse here and there won't hurt much.
I think downshifting is where you really need to be carefull though. If you're not rev matching when you downshift that is what really hurts your car. Worst thing I've ever done to my car was to drop into third going 70 before I got gears. I floored the gas so it actually wasn't all that bad but I was at 6000 rpm lol. Kinda scared me cuz if I had sped up to like 75 then done that I could have seriously messed something up. I think you have to just learn your car and once you've driven it enough, rev matching is like second nature. It definitely is for me now.
Power shifting tears **** up like crazy I would bet. I have never done it and never will. There is a reason we have a clutch in our cars..

I power shift everytime I race. Hasn't hurt my tranny yet. I only double clutch when roll racing on a freeway. If you agree on a 50mph roll you wait till that guy honks the horn the second time push in the clutch, let the rpms fly up and dump the clutch on the third honk. Best way to get the advantage in a roll race.

I dont use the clutch at all. I just grind them gears when i need em!!!

No i dont double clutch. Thats dumb. I just powershift. Sort of. But i removed my foot rest (the farthest peddle on the left, the fourth one) that way when i shift i could move my foot to the left and pop the clutch really fast. And i can do that too. Because i have a stage 4 clutch. But thats the most effective technique i've used so far

Oh yeah well I got a sintered concrete flywheel and a clutch made from the hopes and dreams of orphans. i have to triple clutch with that bad boy[8D]
