PCM Failure
Well - I went to my friends shop as my car had service engine light (car would backfire upon start up not all the time and it did not matter whether car was hot or cold). Usually on the third try car would start and run fine. On the computer it was the cam position sensor P340. We replace it and cleared code but car check engine light is still on and the computer is saying PCM (Power Control Module)Failed???? Has anyone had this issue before?
Thanks,
Keith

I ran the self diaginostic (sp?) test via tripometer which was pretty neatbut do not know what any of this means:
r 63
EE 01
dt 3365 (I am assuming this is a code of some kind - what does this one mean?)
dtc none
tac 000 (tacometer)
de6c090
cr -h
cc -0
tcs -L
HbL -L
PA 4C
Pb 18
Pc 01
Pd 36
PEO 154
PE1 000
PE2 202
PE3 000
PE4 255
PE5 000
PE6 255
PE7 255
Any help w/ this info would be great.

The self-diagnostic mode of the instrument cluster only tests the operation of the instrument cluster and reports the signal status of those sensors that directly feed the cluster (fuel level, oil pressure, voltage, etc.)--it has nothing to do with the PCM or powertrain DTCs. You'll need to get the code read via the OBD-II port. If you have already done this, what code did you get?
