Default 1/4 Mile ???

As my signature states i have 4.10 gears and adding F/I w/ 10 PSI. I am looking to get new tires and wheels anyone hadNexen tires? Would 265/35/18s knock my 4.10 gears down to 3.73/3.90? I think I will be hitting 110 /115 mph in the 1/4 mile but currently top out around 108 in 4th gear and don't want to shift to 5th. I currently have 245/45/17s.

I never been to the track and wouldn't go often so DRs are out of the question.

I run DR's all the time. yes, they're a softer compound tire, and they do wear out a lot faster, but as long as you're not burning out at every red light and stop sign, they'll last you longer than you think.

If DRs are out of the question, don't expect a great time.

With supercharged power and 4.10s, how else do you expect to hook in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd?

I don't know about if the 265/35 tire will drop your rear gear ratio that much (or if it will even go in that direction, hopefully someone else chimes in).

according to a gear calculator I will lose 2 mphs in 4th gear. I should have gotten 3.73s it goes to 121 in 4th. I never thought I was going to go F/I.

even if u throw some nitto drag radials on there it will help a lot. they arent the stickiest drag radial but they are a lot better then street tires and still have some decent tred life to them. +1, dont expect good times without drag radials when ur makin that kind of power.

guys, his main concern is running out of MPH in 4th gear and having to shift to 5th in the 1/4.. which is going to kill his times.

4.10s top out at 108? Holy crap, realise it was that bad.

I could be wrong but I dont think the tires are going to get you the 115 or so MPH your going to need.

Well in doing some research with tires and my 4.10 gearing. I believe my best bet other than DRs is to go w/ 275/40/18s all around. The 40 series tire will increase my 4th gear speed to 113/114 from 108. It will also allow me to rotate tires all around. It still won't ge me to where i would need to be but I might only go to the track once or twice.
