FUEL pressure mounting problem.
I just got my fuel pressure gauge in and I realized it is a mechanical gauge not an electrical. It says it has to be mounted outside the vehicle but can I still mount it in my clock pod? Hey so what, so I'll have a fuel line pretty much in my car. LOL
. Is the only reason they say to mount it outside because of the possiblity of gas fumes inside the car? thanks

Best bet is sell it and buy an electric one. You do not want a mechanical gauge inside your car. What is the fuel pressure shoots up, breaks the gauge and boom, you're getting shot in the face with gas.
Buy a fuel isolator from jegs. It mounts outside in the engine bay and you fill the line going to the guage with antifreeze and bam everything works fine. That's how mines setup and I have boost/fuel pressure in the instrument bezel.
Yea you defintiely want at least some sort of isolater. Kid i went to school with had one in his jetta without an isolater and it ended up breaking, spilling fuel everywhere inside and catchin firing because of a cigarette. No more jetta after that
