I want to get sirius for my 04. I noticed the radio has a satellite button on it. If i were to get sirius, do they need to install any equipment that will be visible or can it all be hidden? Can sirius be controlled through our factory head units? How much did you pay for install? thanks in advance...

It's a dealer option, Not an aftermarket one. No sirius unit will plug into the back. Contact a Ford dealership and see if they can order the needed receiver and Antena from a warehouse.

Or go for a Dirrect FM adapter and seperate Sirius head unit, or swap out the Mach head unit for a more mod friendly aftermarket setup.



If you go for the seperate adapter please be aware that when Sirius and XP merge you wont be able to get the A-la-Cart service with most of the current units out right now. So if you ever plan on picking and choosing Satellite content you'll need a new unit.

really?? I wonder if that includes the Factory installed sirius receiver on 05+ mustangs...?? WHen's the merger happenin?

 

It's already been aproved by congress so they are working out distributing and local governmental issues. If you have any more questions about the merger go to Sirius website.
