Why all the hate
I editted and added to my post before you responded but I just think original badging belong on original cars. And no, I don't own a Cobra I'm a fox guy. But when my high spinning 306 gets dropped init will still be the same badge delete (save for the Ford blue oval on the left side of the trunklid) '93 notch. I've got mods both motor and suspension but I prefer to keep it the way it came from the factory badgewise, albeit with way bigger teeth. Why should I have stickers and/or badges illustrating howmaniacle I've been with it? The only thing noticeable to the trained eye is custom widened ponies to accomodate more grip and most guys wouldn't notice that. I say keep it clean and let them find out for themselves ya ' know?...

I can't imagine that most people dont understand what a big block sounds like? I saw a beautiful hatchback in 5.0&SF, blacked out, blown 331cid I believe. That blacked out look is what im going for, probably 650rwhp N/A maybe some of the board members would like to meet and do some sort of cruise.
I guess my sarcasm went unnoticed. You're right, you'd be a stain not to realize you were dealing with a BB. All the best with that monster, it should be fun. I just havea taste for a mean *** 306 and that'll suffice for me on the street. And NOOOO to badging original cars with badges that have no business fenderside. Please...

I know its not a cobra, but what about the Factory five cars that are AC cobra kit cars yet have the cobra emblem?

Totally differnt territory.

Bottom line is if it didn't come with the badges then don't put them on. Its RICE just like putting a Type R badge on a car that isnt. You have extra riced your car with the intercepter badge unless you have the intercepter tune and intake. It doesn't matter what is in the engine bay it is still not a cobra. I have a cobra crank and my pistons and rods are much stronger then a cobras. I can beat 03-04 stock cobras but I still have my GT badges so they feel like **** when a NA GT beats them.
It's lame advertising your car as something it's really not.
I'll never forget one tool in a yellow GT had the Cobra emblems on the panel behind his windows on both sides. I asked him why he put them on there and he said his car was a real Cobra and that's where they are supposed to be? I pointed to his GT badge and asked what it was about and he said it was a Cobra GT.
Sure enough 2 weeks later I saw him again and the badges were gone.
If you have SVT or Cobra badges on your car - I hope they rotbehind them and fall off your car.
Thanks, come again poser.

Why all the hate when you guys see a car that has cobra badges on it? I think ifthe carmerits the badges, as long as the ownerdoesn't truely believe its a cobra, I think its fine. If you think about it, the GT500 never really had the cobra in it's name until the 2007 model year. I have seen the titles to a couple GT500's, and none of them had the word cobra on them, and it really wasn't produced by SVT, so really? do you guys really have to hate on em'? its not like its a V-tech sticker or something. The same thing with either kit cars (AC cobras) or non-original GT500's from the 60's, we are all fine with seeing the cobra emblems on those cars, so why is it a big deal on newer ones? I don't get it
The only real reason I put them on my car (notice, I never put SVT badges on) was to warn people to back the F*** off, and even then I still have everyone and their mother trying to race me. Not only that, but the cobra namesake came from the 428Cobra Jet that was in the first GT500KR, and I have the same pistons and rods that were in the Terminator. Anyway, just a question

Is like having a vtech emblem on a non vtech civic....
Same effect.[sm=laughat.gif]
Plus now you have some b18 swapped civic that couldn't touch a cobra but can walk over a GT on some random forum bragging about how he beat a cobra (when in reality its a v6/gt with badges)
