How did you come to that conclusion? If I was to run this guys vin what would it say? GT. Not cobra. It's that simple. You don't have a cobra. Even if you put every single thing that makes a cobra a cobra onto your GT it's still not a cobra. It was born and GT and will always be a GT. Don't try and make people believe it's anything other than a GT, because when its all said and done, it truly is just a GT.

if your mustang has a 4v, then you can put cobra badges on it. The blue book value might not reflect that its a cobra, but who cares. If you got the goods, you got the goods, everybody else is just a hater. There is no difference beteen the cars so if you want to do a FULL conversion, then go for it and tell everybody its a cobra... becuase it is. But as far as cobra badges on a 2v or v6, yeah its dumb. In fact I know a mustang that was in a mustang mag, that had a full conversion (interior/ body/ engine and all) to an 03 cobra... nobody found out it was a GT. The 4v engine is what makes a cobra a cobra. Now if you did not do a full conversion and just a 4v. Then i think an svt badge is waranted, but the bottom line is that alot of people bitch about posers, when they are riding in v-6's and stock automatic GT's. IF you can back it up, get "my car is better than yours" painted on the hood.

If it has all that stuff it is "something other than a GT". so they can just laugh at you while the pass you by, crying about the badges on the side (but not like youll ever know anyway, youll just say "sick cobra!")... grow up

Man, you are all critics aren't you? even the guy who is in the military fighting so that we can express ourselves is showing a narrowminded point of view.
sometimes being loyal to a fault isn't a good thing. So the kit car Cobras that are built on a foxbody chassis, with no ford parts essentially other than the chassis, are alowed to be called and badged as cobras? whereas in my car I use many SVT specific parts, and im called a poser. That doesn't make much sense. Im not saying that Im right in putting these emblems on my car, but sometimes people do something for symbolic reasons rather thantrying to make something into what it's not.
Even 1SLO85 had cobra emblems on the bucket in its earlier stages, and yet no one said one word to him about it publicly because everyone respected him? Just because Im a new commer means that I don't deserve the same respect as long time members? It isn't like I come here witha negative attitude or anything similar, I came here to talk about mustangs because I love them, and I think that my viewpoint deserves at least a little bit of respect, after all, I respect all of your opinions.

jesus christ 2000AZ, dude, stop and take a breath, you're getting worked up over nothing, as i see it :to everyman his own" if you want to put cobra emblems on your car then go for it, it's yours and no-one else can tell you what to do with it, i take the views of most here in the mustang community in saying that it's not right, but i have no say in what someone does to his or her car

Not saying that I'm hating on you or anything. Hell I have 03/04 cobra front bumper, trunk lid, spoiler, side skirts, and I'm working toward some rear view mirrors. You won't see me slapping the snakes on the side though.
However though, my 71 has cobra jet heads, rods, and with some slicks could be a mean mother****er, is it deserving of snakes on the side? Doubt I'd even bother with them.

Putting Cobra badges on a GT is like putting an SLP catback on our cars...
