hey guys...i was jw...wht is the work involved in getting a stroker kit for my car??? and wht do u think would be a ballpark price for installing and all the machine work???

i was just lookin at stoker kits for the future...since i can't S/C right now...might as well build it up

You'd be looking at $4000 or so. And that's if you can pull the engine yourself, then swap everything over to the new block (if you wanna do something like an MMR). Or you could just buy the internals yourself and have them put in your old block. But that'd probably be more expensive than a new set-up.

It would be virtually the same price as any other forged set-up.

it depends, you could buy the internals, and do it yourself, just it machined (~12-14 per cyl) then put it back together for about 2500, or wait until a sale from MMR and buy it for like 28-3200 (shortblock) and again you do all the work and its real cheap.

Stroking a 4.6 2v is a waste of money 99% of the time. It doesn't really increase the power to justify spending the extra $$$ on a stroker. Plus, the stroke on the 4.6 is pretty long already. Any longer and it will have a harder time reving.
