I don't understand why people are saying stainless catback for the look. You never see the catback other than the tips and all catbacks that I know of come with polished stainless tips, even flowmaster.

Aluminized is just fine if you live in a place that doesn't get a lot of snow. If you're worried abotu the look/protection underneath your car then just sand/paint with several coats of vht high temp exhaust paint before you install the parts.

I say ss only because you're getting mac. The aluminized mac catback I have (not installed, decided to keep my LM1's) is a joke. The quality of the finish is terrible. The areas that are welded are spray painted with puerto rican chrome. And remember many times exhausts rust out from the inside so it won't really matter what finish is on the outside if that's the case.

I would recommend SS catback it will last forever. If you are thinking in the future u might want headers but want sound and power today - go w/ alum. mid pipe and not the SS.

No headers, you plan on keeping your car for a long time, and you are not the type of person who will decide to change mind on exhaust sound then I recommend SS for both. It a bit more $$$ now but will save you in the long run.

If you know me like some people on here do... you'd know I like to change my exhaust every 10 minutes LOL! That would change if I could get that perfect sound...
