If I had the chance to get a new engine that the ins. would pay for, I would DEF. upgrade if I could. I would try to work it out that they pay for the cost of the GT engine and you pay the difference to upgrade to a Mach or older 4v engine. Good luck

Pretty sure you aren't going to be able to upgrade with the insurance paying. They are only going to cover a replacement, not an upgrade. (insurance fraud is a crime)
However, if they agree to giving you a check and leave the task of finding a replacement up to you, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I meant ,the ins will pay for a replacement and i could pay the diff for the upgrade.Im not into ins fraud. My brother in law has been a ford mechanic for the last 22yrs and has his own shop now, thats where the car is.I am goin with the stock airbox with a k&n.I want to do something now the engine has to be pulled anyways

NO. just don't go offroading in mud puddles. and if you go through a puddle, go slow. its too easy.

I went back to the shop,to talk to my brother in lw.He told me that heput mystery oil in the cylinders and tried to turn the engine by hand and it did'nt move.He also gave me a sprite bottle filled with water and told me that is what came out of my oil pan.So again theseare my questions....What is need to do a mach engine swap? Are the heads different? Will a gt exhaust bolt up to it?I need the computer.I saw it on the lift and realized it had flowmasters too..lol,never knew, still quiet though. Also, does anyone know where a good place to start lookin for my new engine?
